Anyone aged thirteen and older at the time of contest participation is welcome to participate in The Next Einstein Competition. To be eligible to win, you must be a legal resident of North America. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must obtain permission from your parent or legal guardian. – See Rules and Regulations.
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem founded in 1918, is Israel’s first university. Today, its faculty and researchers are at the forefront of the international scientific and academic communities. Many top prizes and awards have been won by its graduates and faculty, including eight Nobel Prizes.
The Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University (CFHU) facilitates academic and research partnerships between Canada and Israel as well as establishing scholarships, supporting research, cultivating student and faculty exchanges and recruiting Canadian students to attend the university.
Albert Einstein is one of the greatest minds in history, renowned for his breakthrough discoveries in science. CFHU and HU want you to find your inner Einstein and come up with a Genius Idea that you think can improve the world at large. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $10,000.
As a member of the original Hebrew University’s Board of Governors, Einstein bequeathed all his research papers and literary estate to The Hebrew University. Albert Einstein represents a timeless symbol of the dedication to scientific and medical research and discovery, a description that appropriately fits The Hebrew University for their groundbreaking ideas and innovations.
To enter The Next Einstein Competition you must first create a user profile. This is where you will submit some of your personal information, so we know who is entering, and also where you will submit your Genius Idea(s) on how to change the world, in the form of written text, images and/or video. If you are still formulating your idea and it needs more fine-tuning, you can save your idea and only submit for judging when you are ready.
Next Einstein contestants must be thirteen (13) years and older as of March 28, 2017 in order to participate.
If as of February 17, 2016 you are a “minor,” meaning that you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must obtain permission from your parent or legal guardian. Your parent or legal guardian must consent to be bound by the rules and regulations of the competition as if he or she were an entrant, before you submit an entry. The Sponsor reserves the right to require minors to submit proof of parental/legal guardian permission and consent to these rules at any time, without which they may be immediately disqualified from the competition. You can get these forms in the 'profile' section after you register.
No purchase or payment is necessary to enter the competition.
You may submit entries beginning March 28, 2017 at 12:00 am Eastern Time (EST) until April 25, 2017 at 11:59 pm EST. Contest entry closes on April 25, 2017 after which judging will begin. The contest concludes and winners are announced on June 6, 2017.

There is no minimum but entries should not exceed 300 words. You may also add a video of no longer than two minutes and up to 3 images to better explain your Genius Idea.
Your idea can be about anything positive that you think can improve the world so long as it refrains from offending anyone. All offensive, overly-political, aggressive or vulgar entries will be immediately removed. Idea categories include: Medical Biotech, Education, Health & Wellness, Technology, Environment, Arts & Culture, Science & Aerospace, Political/Economic Sustainability.

You can certainly enter as a group and would be eligible for specific prizing.
