ENTRY DESCRIPTION

Do you often worry that someone will break into your house when you are not home? Can you imagine having a device that will prevent that by making potential robbers think you are roaming around your house?

Our project is a machine that gives you the illusion that makes you think someone is in your home. Many people are scared to leave their homes whether they are going on vacation or just out for dinner. Many robberies happen when people are asleep or not at home. This machine would solve that problem. Most robbers will not rob a home that people are still active in. When someone gets near the house, an outdoor motion sensor will detect movement and turn on the device inside the house which will project an image or video that will seem real and will make it look like someone is home. The outdoor device detects motion and sends a bluetooth signal to the indoor device. This signal starts the indoor device which turns on a motor (servo). This motor moves a propeller which makes the projector (which is an electronic tablet) vibrate. This vibration signals the tablet to project the image or video. As the outdoor sensor device is triggered, it takes a photograph of the potential robber and sends it to your personal device. We made it so that the indoor device is not always on to conserve energy.
