ENTRY DESCRIPTION
By this time you might have heard about the discovery of the Higgs Boson, certainly a great advance in our understanding of the structure of the universe, but do you know why is that so? Do you know what else lies in the hearth of the basic components of reality? Do you know that inside the atom there is a completely complex and fascinating reality composed of interacting particles? All this is studied by quantum physics which is one of the most advanced fields of study that searches for ultimate answers about the structure of our reality. However, this field of study remains obscure for non specialist in the field. This project aims to change that by making an open source simulator that will be a learning tool for anyone interested in knowing more about quantum physics in a visual and interactive way. The objective of the project is clear: To develop an interactive elementary particle simulator. The software will consists of two parts: The SDK containing the base simulator code; And the visual interface that will serve both as a visual aid and a learning tool for anyone interested in experimenting and learning about sub-atomic particles and their interactions.
